I am just starting my adventure with magic and I am looking for information on where to start. I've read quite a bit on this forum, but somehow I haven't come across the basic information. If this is already out there somewhere, please let me know and send me the link. I came across telepathy online, but that's not quite what I'm after. I want to learn the basics of magic and where is the best place to start. I already have some experience with white magic, especially runes and tarot. I need your help to understand what my type of magic is. I read that one user wanted to work with fire magic, but someone advised him what was more suitable for him. I would appreciate any guidance on the basics of magic.
First understand that magic itself is neither "colored" nor divided into types. It is simply a tool that you can use as you see fit, provided you have enough determination to do so.
I recommend starting by reading books - the more you read, the better. Remember that each book is a different perspective, and the key is to choose the one that fits you best and seems logical.
In conclusion, theorize, discover new things and learn from your mistakes.
@blueeyes210 I will buy the book as soon as I return to Poland (I am currently on vacation). As for the element, I think it is water. I remember that before I learned to control dreams, I often dreamed that I was swimming. I've also heard that the type of nervous energy is important in magic, which is related to our blood type, which in turn depends on our diet and the air we breathe.

Get down to reading solid books!!! 🙂
What you eat matters mainly because when you overeat meat and feel sluggish (or eat a lot of cabbage and still feel bloated), it's rather difficult to focus on magic 😉 .
I came across it on the Internet, but it didn't quite convince me.... Could you recommend any books? A month ago I visited an esoteric store in Warsaw and came across an interesting book on white and black magic. Maybe any of you know what specific item it is about?
Avoid Polish authors such as Kolesov and Devine. Better check out books published by Okultura publishing house. They have some really valuable titles.
Let me explain why I want to learn magic. I've heard about phenomena like ESP and telepathy. I once came across a story about someone who used it to cause harm. I've been harassed on school grounds for a year and a half and I have no proof of this. I wanted to show these people that what they are doing is wrong, but it is not working. I struggle with suicidal thoughts and in conscious dreams I often imagine that I am eliminating them. The hatred I feel for them is almost unbearable. Because of them I have become the object of ridicule of half the school. I can't handle it anymore and I have to do something about it. I became interested in esotericism after experiencing clinical death, when I almost drowned while on a boat. Please help me find the right path.
@igor-1 The reality is that you are unlikely to find what you are looking for in "esotericism." You won't be able to hurt anyone or prove anything with magic, especially in your current state. I understand that you are full of anger and fear, which unfortunately shows your weakness.
Of course you have the right to fight for your life and dignity, but magic is for those who are strong. Those who are weak are quickly discouraged and make their situation worse.
You need to solve your problems in a more traditional way. If you lack determination, it will prove that magic would not help you either.
I don't want to depress you, but in the natural world only the strongest survive. That's why I advise you to gather your pride and strength, step out of the shadow of fear and start taking action.

What are your intentions in wanting to use elemental magic? Magic is not a tool for resolving conflicts with peers at school. Before you decide what you want to achieve, think about the consequences of your actions. If, after thinking about it, you decide that you still want to do it, then think about how to act.
Learning magic to achieve real results is a bit more complicated than baking a cake. To take full advantage of the elements, you need to understand them thoroughly, including the possible side effects if something goes wrong. Especially if you are a beginner, you need to be careful, because any mistake can have consequences. The energy of the elements can be used correctly or incorrectly, and the latter can end badly for you.
When it comes to choosing an element, it's best to learn each one. It's a bit like learning only parts of the alphabet and expecting to be able to read.

Don't look for ways to charge yourself with energy, instead try to understand that you don't need hatred. Learn to control your emotions. Separate your esoteric passions from the problems you have at school. If you don't, you may end up like a person who thinks: "I don't care if they don't like me, because I'll hide in a corner and do magic."
Trying to influence people paranormally is not a solution - it's just a defense mechanism. You would like to symbolically get rid of the situation, but this is not the right way. Consider changing schools or classes. Or try to find new friends in your current class. Alternatively, just finish school, because both middle school and high school only last three years. It's not an eternity. You can also seek support from a psychologist or talk to your parents about it.
Esotericism can be your hobby, but it should not be a way to deal with rejection. You can read books on esotericism, psychology, legends, lore or science fiction with elements of telepathy. You can conduct your own experiments or study how physics relates to extrasensory perception. The options are many. But you have to solve school problems with other methods.
PS. I noticed that you mention your interest in telepathy and ESP, but now you ask about nature and elemental magic. It would be worth your while to decide, as they are different fields.
Thanks for the replies. I am currently meditating daily and have done a review of my situation. I visited an esoteric store, where I came across a book by Phil Hine, and realized that I need to work on my character. I decided that I would not use magic for anything bad - no curses or similar actions. Now I ignore people who talk down to me on the street and laugh at me; I just ignore them. So far they have stopped laughing at me, whether it's because of a break in school or not. I feel great now, my life has become more colorful. I don't even feel like changing classes anymore! Thanks to all of you for your responses.
I assume that you have chosen the book "Chaos Magic" by P. Hine, which seems to be a good step for your situation. You should especially pay attention to the chapter "ego magic", which can help you deal with social problems. Don't worry about the opinions of others, especially those who promote moral purity or violent revenge, because such an approach is detached from reality. Develop and reflect on yourself. Then decide whether it's worth getting even. If so, act accordingly, and if not, let go and move on, enjoying your freedom.

And what do you think is the true way of life? Because giving advice on the Internet probably isn't quite that either.
@peyotl I share my opinion. Thanks to the Internet, we can talk, read articles, browse the press or listen to music.
Don't be naughty, peyote, or space food may get you. To the delight of the cats! 🙂
@midnite It all comes down to opinions, although they may be more or less sensible. As for food, it depends on how you interpret it. Maybe you meant cat food, but now I'm politely asking, since you give such life advice.
I have read this chapter, but I must admit that this book is difficult to understand. Thank you, Papa Midnite, but I still cannot comprehend it. In the sections on curses you use more "religious" language. You claim that you cannot defeat evil with evil and that magic is forbidden by God. (It is possible that I confused you with the admin comments, because they were similarly written). However, here you talk about chaos magic and the whole philosophy as something positive. Of course, I have nothing against you, I just want to understand your general view of the world of magic. From what I remember, it was called a paradigm. For example, in terms of elemental magic, I believe that God created not only the elements, but also their guardians - the elementals. I believe that the whole world is full of magic, everything around us is magic. Magic is available to humans, but in a sense we are also influenced by it. I also believe that the elements correspond to states of matter:
- water - liquid
- land - permanent
- fire - plasma
- air - gas
Currently, I think chaos magic is the best solution to this dilemma. But I intend to master ego magic to calm myself down. Then I want to tackle elemental magic, specifically wind. It has always had an important meaning for me. It's not just that I breathe air, but I have often felt its help in my life. For example, after church I imagined the wind starting to blow stronger, and to my surprise, it worked! However, the other night, when I still didn't believe in magic, I woke up with the feeling that someone was standing next to my bed. It was something that was moving and laughing in a horrible way. I got up and asked who you were. And it disappeared. Two years later, reading Phil's book, I realized what it was! If you treat magic as a psychic phenomenon or don't believe in it, strange things like this can happen. If I said something wrong, I apologize for the mistakes - I'm not sure I understood the penultimate sentence correctly.
