Hi everyone! Lately I've been thinking about how to clean my apartment from negative energy. I've heard that it's not very nice to live in a place where some unpleasant things happened before, or there was just a heavy atmosphere for a long time. Apparently, this can be done with the help of sage. Has anyone tried it?
I also once read about it, but never tried it. You can buy sage at any herbalist. You need to burn it on some kind of saucer and fume the whole apartment with the smoke. Only it is said to be difficult to burn....
Sage actually helps to clear the space. From my own experience, I can say that it is worth adding some birch bark to it. It's easier to smoke then, and besides, birch bark itself has positive properties. After all, however, you need to air out the apartment well after smelling it, because sage smoke is quite intense.
And do you actually feel any difference after such a cleansing?
@nastie In my opinion, yes. The atmosphere becomes sort of lighter, calmer.
And what else besides sage can be used to cleanse the house? Is salt a good idea?
@anima Salt is another good way. You can scatter it in the corners of the apartment, and sweep it up and throw it away after some time. Salt absorbs negative energy. You can also add essential oils, such as lavender, to further refresh the room.
@pajeczyna And do you have to use any special prayers or spells for this salt?
white sage and myrrh is once
sol - exorcised
A bowl with water and in it sticks, then in front of the house you pour over the left shoulder
but for starters find out what is the cause of the bad aura or the entities that have taken up residence or the vibrations of the building.... I have been through this and it is worth checking the cause
And do you have to use any special prayers or spells for this salt?
Some people do this, but in my opinion, the most important thing is intention. Focus on what you want to get rid of, visualize the negative energy leaving your home.
What about all those old things we no longer use? Do they also affect the energy in the house?
@argos Definitely yes! It's worth getting rid of anything that doesn't serve us, that brings back bad memories or is simply broken. Old bills, photos of ex-partners, damaged objects - all these things accumulate negative energy.
And what to do with these things? Just throw them away?
@oliczka It is best to bury them in the ground. The soil has cleansing properties.
I have heard of cascarilla. It's a kind of white chalk that is used to draw protective symbols on doors or walls.
first of all, cleansing after identification of what is happening, whether it is ghosts or something else only then you can approach the matter and do not listen to nonsense because expulsion/cleansing looks different with the evil eye, different with charms and curses and still different when in your house ghosts have taken residence

Yes, cascarilla is often used in protective magic. It can be purchased in esoteric stores.
And what do you think about cleansing with sound? Apparently, Tibetan bowls are great for this.
@faddi I've also heard about it. Apparently the sound of the bowls harmonizes the energy in the room.
