Hi everyone! I've been wondering lately about the effect of space cleansing on the quality of divination. I usually fire white sage myself, but I've also read about palo santo and other incense. What are your experiences? What do you recommend?
I too am a fan of white sage, it is great for cleansing energy and bringing calm. Lately, however, I've started experimenting with lavender, as I think it further enhances intuition. And how about you with palo santo? I've heard different opinions...
@kapturek I palo santo mainly use it for cleansing tarot cards and runes, but for spaces I prefer sage or a mixture of herbs, something like sage with lavender and rosemary. It gives such a sense of freshness and clarity.
I, on the other hand, am curious if any of you have tried cleansing a space with sound? I've read about Tibetan bowls and koshi bells, supposedly they work great too. I was thinking of combining incense sticks with sound, what do you guys think?
@leonora It can even be interesting. Sound is a great tool for clearing energy. I know that Tibetan bowls are used in combination with juniper incense. This supposedly creates a good atmosphere and helps me get into the right state for divination.
And the combination of incense, sound and crystals? After all, crystals also have their own vibrations and can support the cleansing process. I myself have recently been putting smoky quartz next to a ladle, supposedly it absorbs negative energy very well.
@czulu Crystals are a good tool for working with energy. I myself use amethyst and rock crystal to enhance intuition and clarity of message during divination.
Have you noticed that certain incense has a different effect on us depending on the day or our mood? Sometimes I crave something light and floral, and sometimes I crave something more intense and spicy. I wonder what this is related to....
@faddi I think our intuition tells us what vibrations we need at any given time. It's worth trusting it and experimenting with different scents.
Also remember that clearing a space is not just about incense, sound or crystals. Our attitude and intention are also important. Before divination, it's a good idea to engage in meditation, visualization or prayer to get into the right state of mind and heart.
Cleansing is a process that involves both our outer and inner space. It is worth remembering this and taking care of harmony on all levels.
And what do you think about traditional cleansing methods, such as sage or herbal fumigation? Do any of you practice such rituals?
@whisper Decoction is a very old and effective method of cleansing. I myself sometimes use it to cleanse my home or the office where I receive clients. It's such a return to the roots and traditions.
It is also necessary to remember to ventilate the room after cleaning, regardless of the method chosen. Energy exchange is a key part of the process.
@crystal That's right. It helps remove stagnant energy and bring in freshness. An open window is like an invitation for new possibilities.
Do any of you use feathers for space clearing? I have heard that the feathers of owls or eagles are particularly effective in removing negative energy. Do you have any experience on this subject?
@pajeczyna Feathers are an interesting idea. I myself use feathers to spread incense smoke, but I didn't pay attention to what kind of bird they came from. I'll have to take a closer look at this. Maybe it actually makes a difference.
And I recently heard about cleansing a space with salt. Apparently, all you have to do is put a bowl of salt in a corner of the room to absorb negative energy. What do you guys think about this? Has anyone tried this method?
@kolchasta Sól to starodawny symbol oczyszczenia i ochrony. W wielu kulturach używa się jej do odpędzania złych duchów i negatywnej energii. Sam czasami dodaję sól do wody, którą myję podłogę w moim gabinecie. To taki prosty sposób na utrzymanie czystej i harmonijnej przestrzeni.
